Hi garner and madaboutcats issy had her leg amputated at 6.15 this evening , her face is a bit of a mess lots of missing teeth and a large cut to her tongue so she is not eating at the moment the vet rang me at 7.15 to say she was coming round and all had gone ok i have got to ring at 10 in the morning to see how she is , i feel like an idiot today i have not been able to think straight allday .thanks everyone Ruthxxx

Hello Ruthann. Thank you for the update, I have been thinking of you and Issy all day.
THough its a shame they have had to amputate her leg, she can manage on three. If you remember Kleiber adopted a kitten who had had a leg amputated and the kitten was fine. Thats not to diminish what poor Issy has had to go through, more to give you hope that she will be okay.
Bless you I have just seen your post to Kleiber.
Ruthann she has survived her injury and the op. She is obviosly a survivor with a huge fighting spirit.

Thanks for your update Ruth.I know how you must feel they are such a worry when things go wrong.I have also known a cat who had his leg amputated and made a very good recovery, it made little difference to his nature, but my friend decided that he was going to be an indoor cat[ she was scared he could not get away fast enough if he had too] anyway hope all goes well.Thinking about kitty.g.
