is it ignorant to not eat dogs and treat them like pets but kill and eat pigs to fill our greedy fat stomachs? They both have the same intelligence. What do you think all you animal lovers?

Well there's more meat on a pig then there is a dog!

yes and probably tasyes nicer. This means that people who are dog owners (usually insist that they are animal lovers) and let a poor little animal that is terrified to undergo a painful death are in fact hypocritical and shallow people?
Well i have a dog and i'm an animal lover, i especially love them fried with a bit of garlic ;-)

sorry, lol- all joking aside, I really don't have a problem with what animals people eat, be it a cow, pig, dog or cat. What I do have a problem with is whether the animal had a quality of life before it was butchered and if it was humanely slaughtered.
If we weren't meant to eat pigs why are they made of pork.
lol daffy.seriously i think it is double standards i eat meat and yet i have a dog and the thought of eating a dog makes my blood run cold.i guess if cows were cute and fluffy and sat on my lap i may go veggie
Grav.....If you are interested in people eating dogs, perhaps you should watch this video made in China. It may give you something to think about...........Everyone else who is a genuine animal lover, please dont click the link, as it is very very distressing.

I dont know why you fealt the need to post that video. I feel physically sick the cruel w@nkers

Its like they do to sharks too. just cut their fins off so they lay in the water for a week until eventually after a week.

Man I feel so angry now. If I could just get my hands on one of them the pathetic scum bags.

I am going to need a few stiff ones tonight.
monkeywiener - that's what I was getting to up there ^^^

As I've said, i've no objection to any animal being eaten, afterall, in some countries, needs must. What I very strongly object to is the inhumane way these animals are kept and then finally butchered.

I've not clicked on the link, i've seen things like this before and it's stomach churning, can't bring myself to watch another one.
I did warn you........it needs to be highlighted to someone in power in the hope that this terrible cruelty can be stopped.

It has been highlighted jules, many many times. Sadly though, no one in power seems to care and so it continues.

i often wonder if it is just plain lack of education, especially in these little shanty towns in say...China or the Phillipines. Do they believe animals don't feel pain? Hence they can kill them by whichever way is quickest, easiest and costs the less money?

Or do they know they feel pain and couldn't care less either way?
I would never ever eat dog, but I do sometimes feel dog tired, but that is not the same thing really.
In the UK we do not eat animals which have meat as the major part of their diet such as cats and dogs.

Although pigs will eat meat, their diet is mainly concentrated grain.

Dogs will always have an existence in the UK as pets. If we did not eat pork, there would be very few pigs at all, except as exhibit rare breeds. They would be an expensive luxury for the owner.
I have seen photos Boo, but never a video, and TBH, I only clicked on one bit half way through and had to turn it off.
I can't watch them anymore jules, I just get filled with useless rage and it takes me ages to calm down.
The Chinese have a saying, 'As long as it has its back to Heaven, its edible'.

I personally, see nothing wrong with that, but in the end, its a personal choice, unless of course, your starving.

The only froblem I have, which has been mentioned, is the way some animals are kept, and killed.
I suppose we feel the same about eating cats and dogs as the Indians do about eating cows. It all depends on which side you fell off the fence.
I don't think it's ignorance, I just think it's human nature not to eat soemthing that has a emoptional hold on us.
Most people don't eat animals like dogs and cats as we see them as a pet, but most don't see cows and sheep as pets.

Is it ignorance not to eat a human being? Is there any proven problems from doing this?
I dont think there is, but as most of us associate with humans on a day to day basis then we can not distinguish that bond, even if we don't even know the person.

Thats why it is pretty messed up to be a canibal, and I think it is aswel to eat pet animals.
