The car in Gone in 60 Seconds is a very customised 1969 Shelby Mustang GT500 in silver, a colour which they were never originally sold in (the actual one used for filming was a fake). You're not far off though, the actual nicest looking car ever is the 1968 Shelby Mustang GT500KR Convertible. (KR - King of the Road).

i think you might be forgeting the Ferrari 360 CS watching that thing drift totaly flat round a bend is the sexyest thing in the car world.

i have to agree with the e-type but it hase to be the coupe not the soft top. the line of the roof is what makes all the differance same for the 911.

Every one has their own favorites, of course.  I always liked the classic Jag's, and there's no arguing with the performance aspects of the cars listed, but for sheer eye pleasing grace, look at these '50 and '51 Merc's... 'course I show my age by this selection...
