Could be related to that or a virus. If not then I'd guess they would look at muscle disorders like polymyositis or something endocrine like hyperthyroidism.
As I said, it depends on your symptoms (muscle pain?) and other test results. Good the EMG and NCS were normal.
Have they done and ESR/CRP for inflammation?

ANA, rheumatoid factor were all negtive. CPR less than 5.
thyroid function normal. aminotransferase level high, creatine phosphokinase level high, and sodium high.
after 6 months have now been called back to hospital saying they need 2 look at it all again. just dont understand. thankyou 4 all your help.

High ALT and CLK would point to possible muscle damage.
Good they did EMG etc... I guess to rule out things like ALS.
If CRP low then more unlikely to be muscle inflammation unless it had gone down quick and looks like they've tried to exclude autoimmune.
Could you have damaged any muscles?
Are you on any medications eg statins?

thanks jen78 for your help,
no muscle damage, not taking any medications. at this moment in time, the pain is in my left biceps in 2 or 3 wks
it will have gone or move to another part of my body. eg legs, back. left foot or right hand. the pain feels like its deep inside the muscle. they are now looking at a muscle biopsy.
