whole wheat recipe for durabrand breadmaker
Hi, I bought durabrand breadmaker (model 10212) from walmart but the instruction wasn't in the box. Could anyone let me know which program number should be used to the whole wheat bread and what should be the mix ingredients for a 1.5lb loaf weight? Thank you, Jack.

We do have ASDA though.. maybe you should take the bread machine back to the supermarket if the instructions weren't included. My Panasonic bread maker would take 5 hours for a wholewheat loaf and the ingredients for a loaf would be:-
1 tsp fast acting dried yeast
500g wholewheat flour (or a mix of half wholewheat and half white strong bread flour)
1 tbsp sugar
25g butter
1.5 tsp sugar
320ml water
1 tsp fast acting dried yeast
500g wholewheat flour (or a mix of half wholewheat and half white strong bread flour)
1 tbsp sugar
25g butter
1.5 tsp sugar
320ml water
The recipe isnt a problem, there are thousands of them on the net; its the program for the whole wheat bread on my breadmaker that is the question. My breadmaker displays only numbers from 1 to 11 (some of them with P, i.e. P1, P3). Its difficult to know which one I should use for whole wheat bread.

Hi Jack. I have that model from Walmart. According to the instruction book, whole wheat bread is program 2. The recipe is: (ingredients are added in this order)
1 cup + 2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon + 1 1/2 teaspoons butter
1/4 cup sugar
1 + 1/4 teaspoons salt
3 1/2 cups whole grain flour
2 1/4 teaspoons yeast
According to the manual the other programs are:
1. Basic Bread 2.40
2. Whole Grain 4:10
3. French Bread 3:50
4. Brioche Bread 2:40
5. Super Fast Bread 0:58
6. Fast Bread 1:43
7. Dough 1:30
8. Dough Bagel 1:50
9. European Bread 3:30
10 Jams 1:05
11. Baking (knead before hand) 1:00
I have the recipes for the above as well. Not sure if you have figured it out yet, but the button the the right of the display is to adjust the browning (light, medium and dark). The button above that is to adjust the weight.
I actually just took mine out of the box today. Now I have to figure out how to use it and adjust it for other recipes.
