Profit by Property?

Has anyone heard of Profit by Property, or been involved with them? They sold fractional ownership in property, at first in London, then in Spain, then earlier this year moved all their operations to Marbella, and now have disappeared - no website, phones don't work, no replies to emails etc. Anyone able to help? What to do next?

Fractional ownership = timeshare. Its is new marketing name because now everyone has heard of the bad vibes from the word timeshare.
Except that many fractional ownership schemes sell blocks of a minimum 4 weeks, meaning there are a maximum of 12 punters to a property.
Still the same inherent problems though.
Unless someone is going to enlighten me different?

I'm not sure I have contact you last year. However, I unfortunately did invest with PbyP to find they have disappeared. Have you had any developements regarding the investigation the FSA are undertaking.
I have been contacted by Sid Harding, who has been instructed by Secretary of State to investigate Clive Ballard and associates dealing.
Sid Harding contacted me in August 2008 to request any documents I may have re; any dealings with Profit by Property.
I am in the process of forwarding my details, in order for the authourities to pursue Clive Ballard and his cronis.

Carol 100: thanks for your reply/question. Yes, follow the advice of royle and mkesh - it's now all up to Sid Harding of Ballamy Woodhouse - the SFO have given up on us. Sid is very helpful, though, and I have hopes that he will have some success eventually, though whether we get any money back is another matter - I am dubious.

Thanks for your replies Wilfrid, Mkesh and Royle. Interestingly Sid Harding made contact with me two days ago and has requested that I send him copies of all my correspondence with Profit by Property which I am in the process of doing. Unfortunately, I don't think that he holds out too much hope of retrieving the money that has been invested but whatever happens it would be heartening to see Clive Ballard, Beatrice Lebow and Brian Addams who seemed to take over from where Brian Moore left off all get their just deserts. One can live in hope I suppose, and I still find it hard to believe that I have been so gullible. Fingers crossed ....
