as you will know from previous posts i won a land reg tribunal dispute, i thought (foolishly) this would now be the end of things, but i have received a letter from my exes sol saying that he still expects me to pay him the sum of x, my sol has written back and basically said no chance this matter is now resolved and no monies need to be paid to ex. this has come about because the adjudicator said my ex could persue a claim in court for an unsecured debt of monies for which my ex thinks he is due but it would have to be proved, i feel this is harrasment and it will never end, is there anything i can do to stop his solicitor from harassing me.
hi jen the dispute was him trying to apply a restriction on my property. basically i bought property off an ex for x ( price we agreed on) 10 months after transfer he wanted more money from equity to pay off his debts (all in his name and for his benefit). application failed and the adjudicator said that the only way the ex could persue for monies he thought were due to him was through claiming in court.
Hopefully what your solicitor has written will end it. But if it doesn't, tell him to put up or shut up. If he then takes it to Court you will - I assume - be able to disprove his claim, and that really would end it.
