Internet Explorer failing while still connected to network

hi. occasionally (probably happens once per day), i will suddenly be unable to browse internet explorer - the usual 'this page can not be displayed' message appears.

What is strange is i am still connected to the network, and even utorrent downloads continue and i remain signed into MSN. it's just browsing that i can't do. The only way i can resolve it is by restarting my pc. Even disconnecting from my network then reconnecting doesnt work.

Any suggestions as to why this is happening, and what i can do to reolve it?

yeah im well aware of other browsers; IE is my favourite one - the problem occurs in all i have tried (3). anyone else got any decent advice?

Sgree with Billy but to answer your question have you done any spyware/malware scans as Internet Explorer is most susceptible to being influence by malware / spyware it's all part of the Internet Explorer experience, I have fixed so many PC's hijacked by thousands of malware (and that's just on one PC) all using the Blue e

yes i regularly run spyware scans as well as registry and ccleaner
