hi guys,
any ideas please, i faxed my log book off to merc and they have sent me a "new" key, however this doesn't fit, i know they are going to say its not there problem so i will put off ringing them till Monday.
if they cant help then what is an alternative?
PS... its an unchipped key that's missing.

Mercedes charge ridiculous money to supply replacement keys so the very least they can do is ensure that they supply you with one that works.
The only alternative in the meantime is to try and find a locksmith who can build a key to fit the lock...but there's not many who will be able to do this. It's not a transponder key, which makes things a little simpler, but Mercedes are by far still your best option.
