i was wondering if your car is running but you take it out of gear and dont use your excelerator if your going downhills do u use any petrol ?

I can do that in my car cos it is an autimatic

My car is automatic also, but I would never put it in neutral to go downhill, don't forget if the engine cuts out, you have lost power steering, and also brake assistance,
