Can anyone recommend a manufacturer or retailer of good, stable, wide ironing boards? By wide I mean 45cm plus. My mother is regretting parting with her marvellous but aging "Shirtmaster" (no longer available) but the replacement from Argos proved to be dangerously wobbly and has been returned.

after buying 1 from argos and taking it back i found a brabantia one - same size but much more sturdy - and same price as argos. It was in a local bargain shop not a nationwide store but you should be able to find brabantia stockist near you.
