I don't know what browser you are using.

Try Ctrl - shift - delete together
Hi Chassy,
You could try going to the Tools tab - Clear Private Data and tick ALL the boxes. That might help.
that's weird, I was just coming on here to ask that exact same question.

I just tried what kirsch suggested, and went to tools then went to delete browsing history, then just delete all of them. it might be different on other computers though.
Did nobody try Ctrl - shift - del?
Also, if you want to automatically clear your history and searches, go to the Tools menu again and select Options - Privacy and uncheck the relevant boxes.
Hi Ethel,
Just tried it and it's very handy. I didn't know about the shortcut - thanks for the tip :0)
;)
If you only want to delete single entries, rather than all of them, then click onto the search box and use the down arrow to scroll down to the one you want to delete and hit the delete key and that one will go away.

It must be me I guess!! I have done all the afforsaid, and the searches still remain in my google box!! It may seem trivial but when I come to do a search it comes up with all previous attempts, even the misspelt ones!! I will keep trying. Many thanks for all the input however. Ps I cant seem to find the privacy in the tools menu!!
What are you afraid of people seeing ?

CCleaner is a piece of freeware that should do the trick.
