lowering shoe heels!
6 Answers
I am sure this is a silly question but will ask it anyway. I have been hunting for a pair of shoes and managed to find a pair that would be perfect except just a little bit to high. They are stiletto heels of about appx 3.5 inches but I really would prefer them to be just 3 inches. Can a cobler reduce the height of a heel at all?

I am sure a cobbler could reduce the height of the heel just by cutting through the material and popping a new rubber heel base on. I doubt if they could reduce the heel much more than half an inch (which is what you want !) without affecting the balance of the shoe. Here's a link to a company in the Birmingham area who do this sort of thing:-
