lozenges

I have some throat lozenges that are supposed to numb your throat to ease the pain, so how do I stop it numbing my mouth and my tongue while I suck the lozenge?

If they are that good what are they cos my tongue is still sore from the op and i am sick of mouth wash and paracetamol!

Or use them as a suppository...

push them far enough up and they'll reach the desired area.
