memory card cannot be read

my mum asked me to put a song on her phone memory card, and after i did, her phonecan not read the card. i have tried plugging it into the computer by a 'reader' and it wont show. what is happening with it and how can i get it to work?

Maybe the format of the song can't be read by her model phone.My daughter used to have a phone that would not read windows audio files,they had to be MP3 only.
I guess you mean you can't see the card - or at least what's on it (or put new stuff on there?)
and not the music file?

if you pull he card too quickly - before the writing completes - it's easy to corrupt the card - and sometimes it just happens
