I am stuck on 27: American castles in the air ... (6,10) and 28: ... and castles in the air are on board! (5). Also 86: In the convent those without stockings get unwell - like Lily! (10) and 88: In command in the Caribbean, the sailor had one dispute after another. (4,7). Can anyone give any clues? thank you.

27 think of what things usually do when they are in the air (first word) and an alternative name for castles for the 2nd word. should give you an aircraft

28 think of another name for castles on a board

No 18 is one where the answer is hidden in the clue - in the phrase 'helped navigator to land' - the answer is then a type of Bunting (bird). I don't have 34 yet either.

For 86 you need a community where monks live (beginning with f), and add in 'those' removing 'hose' and 'ill' (unwell). The answer is a butterfly, but also a chequered flower. I'm not sure I can offer more clues, only the answer - which I don't mind doing if that is what you would like!

86. Think of a character from Robin Hood ? Tuck -that starts off the answer. Then it's those without stockings, so you lose the hose, giving the T, then a common word for unwell, then complete your first word . The unwell bit comes from Lily and the last letter ends the word - a butterfly. I think it would have been a lot easier just to type the answer!!
