Satnav accessories

My satnav which is the AA navigator 7000 requires a new cigar lighter lead the other end having a small usb fitting. This is not the standard sized usb that plugs into mobile phone but is smaller. The firm that distributed these has gone bust. Can these leads be bought elsewhere and what is the smaller sized USB called?

No, sorry it is not a cigar lighter one.

However a bit of searching on e bay might bear fruit. Alternatively you might identify a supplier of similar leads on there, and try e-mailing them for help.

there are three "standard" sizes

the one that goes into bigger devices (b)
and mini - which is probably the one you want (i think)

Yes thanks I've already tried on Ebay but the cable sent did not have the correct mini usb. Also the pictures of the item are not very helpful as I've found they bear no resemblance to the actual thing.

Thanks, but I've done exactly that to all your shops mentioned taking my old cable with me. Also tried carphone warehouse and all the other mobile outlets. All met with the same response. To cap it all I think my model was updated with a difference cable. It is now over 3 years old. And the firms making them has gone bust.
The road Angel is a different model to AA navigator.

it's not usb then - the standard is just that - standard

hi I got one at my local market which sells all accessories for mobiles and got one to fit sat nav. it has small usb fits in sat nav and other connection into cig lighter.
