I just wanted to write this.......my daughters best friend was given vouchers for skiing lessons at that new skiing place near the Trafford Centre for her 40th birthday. Whilst there she fell very badly and one of the skis didn't release as it should have so resulted in a broken femur, she also dislocated her knee and her leg ended up back to front (ouch). She is very distressed becaus there is also very severe damage to tendons and lots of other bits and pieces. She has been told it will be at least 18 months before any recovery will be realised and then she may have to use a walking stick at best. She is a lovely woman who like my daughter was just completeing her training as a solicitor but her world has crumbled. The docs tell her that she is in danger of gangrene as well as she is completely immobilised so a vigilant nursing regime is in place. Yoiu don't have to comment if you don't want I just wanted to tell someone.

I am not an expert in these kind of procedings, but I would think a good lawyer is in need here,
Pete.

That's awful, the poor thing! I took my ex to there for his birthday a few months ago.
I'll keep an ear out as it's possible I may even know them as I'm a solicitor in Manchester.
Strangely enough a friend of mine on a work trip (also a solicitor) fell awkwardly while snowboarding and broke both wrists very badly and was off work for a long time recovering. In her favour (if you can call it that!) her work were great though it was a work trip she was on.
I know a good osteopath if she is in need of any further therapy at any point.
What have her work said? Is she just finishing her training contract?
