Bank shares

I have Northern Rock and Bradford & Bingley shares.
When they were nationalised it was said that shareholders might eventually get something. What can I do with them? Can I transfer them to someone else or give them away?

I don't know why you feel you have to be so gleefully self-righteous about 'investors'. Many shares are held in pension funds. And I got mine because I was a saver when the building societies became a bank.
In any case you completely neglected the question I asked. Can I transfer these shares to someone else?
