71 shopping days until christmas.
Do you think that people will be a bit more sensible with their credit cards this year?
Or will thye go off the deep end?
Will we be hearing tales of woe and despair in january when the bill hits the mat ?

Btw thats WE as in society as a whole .

Welll come january watch the poor sad fools complaining.
Though some card companies , eggg for sure , have capped card users spending until they repay the outstanding balance .

Good idea , its reckless credit card us thats contributed to the credit crunch .That and folk getting mortgages they couldnt afford to pay .A combination of banks turning a blind eye and people lying about their income to get the mortgage .

Already got the majority of my Christmas presents. Just need a few odds and sods now, so yes I'm prepared.

Christmas is a time for being with your family and enjoying time spent together, I for one will be doing just that, and sod the credit crunch.
PS
You sound like you're almost gloating that folk might be suffering this Christmas?
I won't be going maxed out on a credit card , I don't have one .
Some people are too willing to ignore the signs and warnings, and continue as per usual. We have lived in a " tomorrow is another day " mind set for too long. I don't think it is a matter of gloating.....more that reality is gonna hit them in the face at some point soon. I have to admit-as I am on a VERY tight budget at the moment...I feel almost disdain for the people I see loaded down with shopping, and I hope that they see sense at some point....but a lot of them won't.
