if only two people witness the common assault in domestic violence, and the victim later realises they do not wish for it go further ie sentencing, after the initial court case is adjourned, how can it be dismissed, ie withdrawing statements etc?

Hey thanks bensmum x x
Shellp hun I know how your feeling I couldnt sleep last night had the possibilities for the day in court spinning round my head. So I did all the housework ended up in floods of tears by 2am then fell asleep watching friends on the sofa only to be woken by my baby at 5am.
I went shopping with my mum today which was nice but I just cant bring myself to talk through the details of what actually happened with anyone I just dont want them to be upset.
I too am very very worried about court its only a week away now and I am terrified I dont know how I am going to get through it but on the other hand I want it over and done with. I am thinking of you though and take comfort in the fact that we are going through exactly the same thing x x x
I am a nervous wreck been trying to keep busy went out with friends last night been shopping today bought clothes that I couldnt afford but lost weight so need them (thats my excuse ). My stomach feels full of butterflies I cant sleep just want to run away and hide. Saw one of his friends yesterday he always talks to me but he said he is convinced he will get not guilty his solicitor has supposodly told him this looked stats up on the net only around 4% get not guilty in crown court if they can be believed. I will be devestated if he gets not guilty because then all his bail conditions will go and who knows what he will do.

Pink bunny if you want to email my address is shell1uk @yahoo.co.uk. Have you actually been into the courts to look around maybe after wed I will be able to offer you some help.

Will keep you informed.
