Water rates

I am moving house to another property I own. Do I have to pay any water charges on the other property. It is an old house and does not have a water meter.

Err yes. You will pay water rates based on the Rateable Value of the house, payable to the water authority which supplies you.

Thanks for the reply. I have phoned the water board and I dont have to pay rates as I will not be living there.
I was not sure if they were going to charge me a nominal payment as I still own the property but because I dont have a meter they do nto charge. Tar anyway

you said in your question that you would be moving to another property, but now you say youre not living there. so which is it or am i reading it wrong????

I think what he meant was that he is moving to another property which he owns and is questioning whether he should still pay charges on the property he is moving from. When he said he was not living there, he meant in the first property he was moving from.
