seagulls
7 Answers
most nights a flock of seagulls fly over my house ( i have also seen this in other areas) They fly in small groups but the groups keep flying past for what can be up to and beyond an hour. I have also seen the seagulls in the morning with a similar flight path. They have been flying over since early this year which would put into doubt it's migration, that's if they do migrate? can anyone explain what they are doing and where they are going?

They also move inland when there is a storm on the way.
Most common gulls don't migrate as such, merely drift with the seasonal food sources. Many are now stationary for reasons above.
Despite being gregarious they are quite crappy about their immediate space and can kick up a hellofa row.
