I think this series is brilliant, I was once married to a compulsive gambler and the writers have got it spot on. Anyone else on here have experience in their family of gambling, I don't mean a couple of quid on the Grand National, I mean when 1,000s of pounds, houses, belongings all go up in smoke.

She bought 6 lottery scratchcards, went outside strathed them off, came back for 6 more---this went on for about 20 minutes. She had a look of determination/desperation on her face when she was scratching the cards, she's obviously really needing a win. I felt sorry for her.
I don't think the first episode was very realistic. It showed him having 3 bets, all of which he won (what happened to the 4 grand he won?) and then the only bet he lost was because he was cheated into thinking he couldnt lose! The scam only worked because of what he overheard in the toilet - what if he hadnt gone to the toilet at all? Not realistic at all.
