Bruises which won't go away

Anyone got any ideas as to how I can get rid of bruises which fade a bit but won't go away.

I'm very pale skinned, bruise easily and with meniere's a bit clumsy and bang into things a lot.

I've got bruises still visible on my legs from as far back as at least June (some I did before I went on a holiday) and just got a load more from moving house this weekend.

I want to be able to wear skirts and go swimming without looking like I've been battered, does anyone have any idea how to get rid of them?

have you asked your doctor for any advice.are you on any meds that may add to prob.

Not asked GP as seems a bit vain really and between surgeries at the mo as just moved house.

Medication, on sulfasalazine (arthritis), betahistines, stemetil, flixonase (menieres), omeprazole, spasmanol (misbehaving tummy) and citalopram.

oh, and prescription codine for pain relief.

Give arnica gel a try jenna - my mum bruises easily and we bought some from QVC from a company called SBC - seems to work smells nice and goes into the skin well too so isn't sticky or anything. you can probably get it from Boots etc or health food shops too.

Hi Jenna1978, I do think that you should have a word with your doc to be on the safeside, in the meantime how about camouflage makeup? I know that you can get makeup to cover up scars and redness/veins etc and so that may help you in the short term.

It might sound really lazy but there are so many of them all over my legs that it'd take so long in the morning it's just easier to wear trousers.

Maybe I should just buy a load of black tights :)

I'll mention it as should get a health check when I find a new surgery to join or speak to my rhumo nurse.
