Mr Brown said one way to tackle unemployment and at the same time climate change was to train people to install loft insulation.

He said: "We are training large numbers of additional people to do that work in insulation and that will become one of the unemployment programmes that will grow over the next period of time."

wow thats going to really help in it !!

Of course he could also try to send home some of the half a million or more illegal immigrants.

That will provide a load more jobs for people to fill.

Will he ?

Of course he wont.

how many people really need the loft doing ..he is a big fat joke !
The mans a waste of space, worst chancellor post war, and worst pm, second only to Bliar.
the only loft in the country needing more insulation is the gaping void in his head, mr gordon (I never had a proper job in my life has no answers to anything other than how soon can I pick up my big fat pension and smirk about all those unfortunates that he has robbed of theirs, if there was an atom of justice in this world he would spontaneously combust into a burst of flames in the middle of an election broadcast, 'wont happen because if he got his way there would never be another election anyway, the cretin despises democracy in any form no matter how small, want to smoke a fag indoors, you,d better get a good lawyer, he'll have you bang to rights before you've had chance to stub it out, we all knew that blair was a proven liar out of his own mouth but this duplicitous piece of scum takes the biscuit and just about anything else he can lay his thieving hands on. all those that disagree please gather together on a photocopy of a penny black, but leave room for the ford transit and a couple of artics.
Lonnie, were you living in a cave on Mars when Thatcher was in charge?
she is second on the list , brown is first
I was on on of thatchers schemes - the good old "community programme" doing exactly the same sort of thing back in the mid 80's. Believe me that solved nothing.

I agree with Lonnie. He IS the second worst PM this country has ever had behind Bliar.

Lonnie, do us a favour and type out your list of worst post-war PMs. And then the pre-war ones.

Cheers.
Prudentia oh font of knowledge do you actually know what he actually 'stole' from pension funds??

Please in your own words explain what he has done?

He raided the pension funds by removing the ax credit allowed on the dividends.

Pension funds should not be taxed at all, not until income is actually received, but Bottler saw an easy target and went for it - history of this lousy government.

Oddly pensions are just about short by the anount he raided to pay for lefty idealistic projectsm whcih of course have a gold plated pension attached and contibute zilch to the GDP

This country is *!**ed with Bottler at the helm.
