Just had a visit from a council official who wanted me to sign the electoral roll form because she said I hadn't returned my original. She produced the form from a folder, shoved it under my nose with a pen, then said sign there. I said I'm not signing that. I've sent the original back last week with a note to say I don't want to be on the register anyway. She said ok, I'll just put that you refused to sign. I said you won't. The form's already gone back. The council can't get their timing right so I'm gonna be branded a disruptive influence! Not for the first time I might add! Perhaps Mr. Plod will pay me a visit next. Criminals like me deserve to banged up!

You can register online which is waht I've been doing over the last few years. Its better than being fined �1000 for non-return.

Councils have been selling the data for some years,and equally for some years you have been able to opt out of the edited register which can be sold.

If you don't want to vote or take any part in local and national government, you have to right to complain about the state of it.

i just check the box that say's i don't want my details released into public data sites like 192.com for example, although i do mine online every year i have prolems with officials coming round regarding my neighbours who haven't replied, they seem to think i can fill their forms in for them!
