teapot lids

i have a few lovely teapots, all with lids which, unfortunately have all broken. i've found myself using clingfilm for a lid. any hints on anything better to use?

Could you cut them down to the size of the lid and stick a wine stopper cork (the type with a Top part on it as found in a sherry bottle) through the hole in the centre to act as the gripping part. Alternatively B & Q might have some small drawer knobs you could use. Sometimes you can find some tiny little shallow pottery dishes in charity shops which might be the right size to use as a lid. None of these ideas will pass the "elegance" test but might help to keep the tea warm.
