teapot lids

i have a few lovely teapots, all with lids which, unfortunately have all broken. i've found myself using clingfilm for a lid. any hints on anything better to use?

How about all those free DVD's which come on the front of the Sunday Times magazines and other supplements? Could you cut them down to the size of the lid and stick a wine stopper cork (the type with a Top part on it as found in a sherry bottle) through the hole in the centre to act as the gripping part. Alternatively B & Q might have some small drawer knobs you could use. Sometimes you can find some tiny little shallow pottery dishes in charity shops which might be the right size to use as a lid. None of these ideas will pass the "elegance" test but might help to keep the tea warm.

you can use them as plant pots and vase. decorate you home with them. i have done that and they look lovely.

I have a Furnivals 1 pint Denmark Blue teapot with a missing lid and hopeful that I can find a lid that fits in a charity shop, even if it means buying another teapot. But of course I will then be left with another teapot that has a missing . . . . .
