Water in a Carina

I have a 1993 Carina. A couples of months ago I had a full valet done. It seemed fine when I picked it up but the next morning (after a night of torrential rain) there was a large amount of water on the passenger side floor. Over the next few days I gradually sponged it all out and it seemed fine. suspected the car cleaners of spilling a bucket of water in it.
It's been fine for a couple of months but today, again after a night of heavy rain there's water in it again. More of a puddle than a swimming pool this time.
If a make a sharp turn or brake suddenly I can hear a sloshing noise.
The windows are shut properly and there is no evidence of where water can be entering the vehicle i.e sunroof.
It was serviced and MOT'd 2 weeks ago .
Sorry this is a bit long winded, but it's baffling me. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Could be a blocked windscreen drainage tube, check the area under the windscreen where the rain would run, and using a little water, follow it find where the drain is, its probably got blocked with leaves and gunk.

Thanks for the suggestion, will have a look!
More likely to be the sunroof, open the sunroof, carefully pour water into the sunroof well, see where it goes, should disappear down the drain holes.

Check the drain holes under each door, make sure they are not blocked., could be water sloshing about inside the door.

Thanks for your help. I have checked these things and found no obvious blockage. I'll take it to the garage next week. Thanks again, Wendy xx
