can anyone erecommend a pvr with hdmi connection(s)? Am leaning towards a Humax pvr9200tb as it gets excellent reviews but it connects by scart which seems a bit outdated to me.

HDMi is only useful if it records in HD. At the moment HD recorders are very expensive

Unless the player can 'upscale' the picture, but, as Ethel suggests, it would be better to wait until HD recorders become available - Humax were supposed to be bringing one out this month.
