Recession? A Good time for business.......

Does anybody think that this is a great time to be more competative in business? Or is this time we are in all doom and gloom? I am in the process in starting up a Cleaning, Private Catering and Events Company. Do you think that i should wait or bite the bullet? Any help or advice will be greatly received......

my opinion is: i think people will be cutting back on luxuries at the moment and for the forseeable future, therefore may not need the luxury of an events organiser or private catering. I think people will always want cleaners though
