Mortal thoughts!......

Before I start with my question,I would just like to say that where I live,the sky outside is quite eerie.Earlier this evening, the moon in the sky looked really spooky and eerie,as it peeped through the wisps of cloud.It was also fairly low in the sky.At one time you could just see the glow emanating from the edge of a darker and thicker cloud.Now it is drizzling just a little bit,and is not too cold.

How long would you like to live for?

Hmmm,I think most people would like to remain young and never grow old and get wrinkly skin.No offence to any old timers that do use AB.
But,I was thinking, if there are people like me who don't really like to grow old,if there was a kind of medicine or potion that was created which would make you immortal and never grow old,would you take it?
It may never happen of course,as scientists would then be playing God and could create havoc across the world.Our planet would then be over-populated and could not then sustain everyone.So,that is the downside of being immortal.
Although,it would be nice to live forever,but only until a certain age perhaps.I know death awaits us all at sometime in future.It is a scary thought I know.But, I just wondered what you folk think about being mortal or immortal.Would you take the potion to remain young?
Maybe some people would like to remain mortal.

Hi Imhotep. Don't need an eerie moon for it to be spooky round here, hun! Lol.
No, I wouldn't take a potion to live forever. Death is nature's way of telling us that we've done our job on this earth - and it's only the shell of ourselves which dies anyway. Even that's not all wasted. If buried, the nutrients from our bodies are sucked up by roots, or invaded by insects. not a nice thought maybe, but we survive in an altered state, that's all.
