Stupid remark of the day

I went to see the in laws first thing this morning. They've just had their front garden block paved and it's big enough for 4 cars. I was told off for parking on it because "it cost a lot of money so we don't want cars on it."

I agree sleepyj, but do you make visitors stand outside in the rain while they grapple with their shoelaces like my inlaws do?

i dont mind so much at mo as my house is a mess from a leak ..but i do like my kids friends to take shoes off

I went to visit a client from work a few years back.. a really sweet Chinese woman. she insisted my colleague and I took our shoes off at the door, and put on the tiniest embroidered Chinese slippers. my size 6 feet looked pretty silly, but my 6' stocky male colleague looked ridiculous. I could hardly stop laughing!
