Sat Nav, which is the best

I'm in the process of changing jobs and need a Sat Nav, I have a borrowed a friends Tom Tom and it seems to be just right for what I need. The only thing with Tom Tom is you have to pay for updates whereas other units (Michelin) you can get for free. If anyone has any tips or feedback they would be greatly appreciated.

I have a TomTom, you plug it into your pc with a USB lead, go to their site and get free updates.

I really rate my Garmin Nuvi

I quite like my Garmin Nuvi - a friend and I drive tested both a Tom Tom (hers) and a Garmin Nuvi (mine) a few weekends ago - she ended up down a very strange country lane at her destination (according to TomTom) whilst I was sitting outside the concert hall we had booked tickets at.... We both were in modern hatchback cars, light coloured and had entered the same post code destination but she ended up some 20 miles away and I got where I was supposed to be.... OK to be fair, her narrator was a very sexy fella whilst mine was a bland blonde.... lol. Apparently she kept telling Tom that she no longer believed him but he didn't respond !

Thanks everyone, I do like the Tom Tom, I was using it today in the remote highlands and it didn't let me down. The only thing with the Tom tom seemed to be the purchase price, although I do think you can get last years model's cheaper. One last thing I would really like to know is; can you input multiple destinations and thne let it take you to the nearest first etc?
