LCDs do die - look closely - is it muck - or are the 'ikkle lights not on?
if it is a ding - there are a couple of things you can try - but you could just as easily make it worse (I've done it on a watchface and some beloved sunglasses with good results)

if you go to a jeweller or optician - they may just give you a bit - if not it's not expensive

if you start with one of those nail polishing boards - work down to smooth - then switch to the rouge
(a chamois leather is ideal)
but if you end up with a little shiny patch it might be more noticeable than the ding
