german christmas markets

Can anyone enlighten me as to whether in December in Mainz and Ruddeheim it is likely to be snowy or just rainy. Obviously it will be a bit chilly at that time of year.

cold but dry and crisp. we didn't have any rain when we went. we erally enjoyed ourselves - went to Rudesheim
