tiredness?... too much looking at AB on your comp. screen!... I get this but not the eyelid... more like a little twitching muscle 'underneath' the eye...
Do you mean it twitches constantly? Mine does it sometimes for maybe 10 seconds then stops, I put it down to being tired and not getting enough sleep, also maybe stress.
Could be worth a visit to opticians or prehaps the doctor if it carries on or is happening all the time.

Hope you get it sorted :o)
Awwww and here's me thinking you were winking at me :-(
Tiredness. Although someone once told me its related to constipation, however, that could be a bit like me believing in hill sheep : S

Boo im always winking at you!

No its not all the time, like you said just 10 seconds then stops. but its been going on for over a week. well annoying

defo not constipation!
Homer, I get that twitchy pulsating eye thingy, every time I wash my hair (afterwards).

*Nurse! Can you loosen these ties please?*
Thank goodness someone else out there has been having the same problem as I have been having for the past few days.
Maybe global warming!!!
It seems to be stress related. I had depression at one time and my eye kept doing that, I mentioned it to the doctor and she said it can be related, as soon as the anti-depressants started to work it stopped and has never happened since.
Thanks Jenna. Useful site.
Got to be stress related with me through work this week.

Hi Homer,
I went to the optician recently complaining of the same thing and she suggested to put a little sticker under the muscle that is twitching, and low and behold it actually stopped it! she said it was from tiredness in my case but could also be from stress. I hope it stops soon as it is highlly irritating
Good luck
one treatment is a Botulinam Injection....but its only for a long standing stigmatism generally, my gran has it done every few mths, but im sure they wont use it if its a short term problem
Question Author
I dont fancy an injection, or putting a sticker underneath my eye, i think my mates would take the mick a little, but its still doing it....
well if one injection stops it be alot better.....but see ure gp

Week number 2 in the twitchy eye house, the eye is still twitching... although it has calmed down and isnt doing it as often.
I had this about two years ago and it lasted more than nine months! I was beginning to think I had it for life, but it went in the end. Could have been stress - busy time at work.
Thankgod im not the only one, i was gettin a bit panicky!
mines only been twitching for a few days but its really annoying, im guessing now its tierdness and stress!
thanx people!
hope all our twitchings stop soon :D

Hi I have been suffering with a twitchy eye for about 4 weeks now and it shows no signs of letting up. I think the most common causes seem to be tiredness and stress. I know mine is not from tiredness as I sleep really well but do get easily stressed. I don't think there is a cure except trying to chill out. I read this article on this link thought it might be interesting: http://www.eyedoctorguide.com/eye_problems/eye -twitching.html
