I know this should be in the Media and TV section but more people see it here .... just watched The Family and that couple must have the patience of saints!! That Emily - how rude can you get? She seems to dominate the whole series.

They're all as bad as one another!

Emily needs to grow up. Actually, Emily needs to move out, that's the only way I can see there ever being peace between mother and daughter.

The mother acts as much of a brat as her daughter does. The Father tries to talk to everyone to sort it out and the mother walks away without ever saying a word. How can she expect her daughter to change if she's leading by example??

At the end where Emily practically has to force her mother to look at her while she tries to make amends? I'm shocked Emily had to resort to that to be honest.

The father irritates me the most. I hate the way he speaks to his kids, I hate how he was acting with Tom the other week (playing the sax while Tom was on the phone and kicking him) and I hate the way at the end of every disagreement he says "Daddy loves yooooou" or "Come and give Daddy a kiss" or "What does a Daddy have to do to get a hug?"

Grrrrrr.

Lakitu couldn't agree with you more. I think the parents are just as bad as the kids. I can't stand Simon, thinks he's so condescending. Jane I think is even more immature than the kids. She can only ever shout and her and Simon never stand united in their argument.
yes the kids aren't perfect but with parents like that how can you blame them.
