dvd rewriter

installed rewriter,its not working nor is my dvd player.i insert dvd it come up no disc in drive E,any help much appreciated

on the back of each drive there will be a little jumper that you use to set the drive to master or slave on the cable, did you set that?

Set one drive to master and one to slave if they are on the same cable. if it doesn't work swap them both over so they are the other way round.
