Seriously, I have the same horrible anger but I can bite it down now, only it does scare me and I hope I don't lose it. You won't like me when I'm angry like the Hulk (except I'm not green) :-(

LOL maybe I am the sidekick. I don't know if it is a mid20s thing although yes I am 25, nearly 26. My mum and her sisters have the same horrible temper, which is why I try so hard to bite it down because I don't want to be like them.
I never used to be able to control it, but I don't know if it is a nature / nurtue thing. I hope my little girl doesn't grow up witha temper like mine :-)
I think you just have to learn to put yourself a) in the recipent's place but sometimes it can make you angrier or b) have a serious think about where your anger issues can lead you to. The only one to really suffer in the end is you, you'll feel like an idiot for being so wound up in the first place, probably annoyed at yourself for giving someone the satisfaction of winding you up and letting you fly, plus a possible criminal conviction, losing your job, family, friends, etc. It's much healthier for you and those around you to take a deep breath and physically remove yourself from the situation that is making you angry.

i dont have a lot of anger at all, infact people hate arguing with me! Im almost too calm! Instead of shouting back ill take the abuse and listen to what they say and respond calmly, but sometimes with arrogance and sarcasm - which winds them up even more!
I dont argue alot, but even when i was born, i was a very timid baby - the nurses asked if they could use me for a demonstration once my mum told me cuz i was so chilled!

I used to flip my lid really easily...but can control it nowadays, I would rather be quiet and planning my revenge at the same time....depends really, had a bit of road rage a few years back, wasnt me who started it but a huge woman! She tried to grab me round the throat and I hit her so hard I split her lip...she was shocked....in fact, so was I she was like a bloke lol!
I have a serious issue with my eager. I fly off the handle, I shout and argue and throw things around and to be honest afterwards its a little laughable because its childish. BUt I cant control it very well. I did have hypnotherapy and that helped alot but after a few years I seem to have reverted back to my old ways. So I am now looking to go to some sort of counselling to help curb my anger before it gets my into trouble.
I've always been really mellow, on the outside anyway. I think it comes from the fact that I've never had to be "physical" with anyone in order to gain acceptance. I've always been naturally "scary", I think it's a personality thing...lol
The only time I came close to a fist fight was in high school, when my mate got the last "Latin/French" dictionary in the school library on the day of the exam, when I knew she owned one but had forgotten it that day....
That's how much of a nerd I was...lol

noKnow, I've never even SEEN a fight, between people I know (except once, but that's a different story).
I think I'd be really scared, and the first one to interviene too! I absolutely hate violence, with a passion. But if I had to, I wouldn't hesitate to defend someone either. Hopefully they'd be thrown by the fact I'm a girl...lol
