Virgin Media Upload Speeds
5 Answers
I am on the 2MB package with Virgin Media Broadband.
For over a week now I have had to wait ages for passwords to be input in on web sites, and then pages to change when I run a Speedtest the figures for download are 2069 kb/s but upload speed of 4, 7, 11,and 43 kb/s.
Sometimes it cant even obtain an upload speed to test
http://www.speedtest.net/
Surely this is not good enough ?
The help desk response was
Thanks for getting in touch with the Virgin Media Support team.
On a 2Mb connection the upload rate up to 200 Kbps (25 KB/s).
Different factors can affect the upload, one being what server you are trying to upload to
What do the different ratings Kbps or KB/s mean ?
Thank you

Very hepfully Virgin Media have done away with the direct Broadband Status Phone Line and you go through all the options and speak to someone who then said "Can you ring in 2 hours we have problems at the moment " or ask you to consult the Web Site Status page which you cant load anyway.
