Last Sunday my husband vomited on the front room carpet - he wiped it up and  then I shampooed, and Febreezed, and used Neutradol carpet Deodorant and also bicarb of soda, and used a damp mop with a hit of bleach - carpet's ok but I can still detect a whiff - can't drag it outside until the weather is more clement - might be in my head - but what else can I do?  It's driving me mad - even getting a new husband won't remove the smell of this one ha ha- Please help!!!

MargeB - you mean for the hubby or the carpet?
I think that one of the more potent smells in vomit is butyric acid. You only need a little to cause a stink. Try repeated shampooing with the shampoo as concentrated as allowed. The smell will go eventually. If bicarb didn't dammage the carpet try leaving some down over night....but take care it might stain.
there is a product you may want to look for called odoban, it is the best thing ive ever seen.

there is a link for you right here the stuff is kinda expensive and im sure you can find it in smaller quantities but the stuff is worth every penny and works instantly.

Dettox  spray kills bacteria, and its bacteria that causes the smell.
