Why has Desperate Housewives started 5 years after the last series? It kind of feels like I've missed a huge chunk of it.

I take it Mike Delphino died in the car crash. What's happened with Susan's daughter? I agree Susan looks younger.

Marcia Cross, who plays Brie, looks like she's overdone the Botox in the forehead, it looks 20 years younger than the rest of her face.

Where is Carlos?

Mike is not dead. Him and Susan separated because of the car crash (mother and daughter were killed in other car)

Carlos is still there, though a little bit greyer

No, I watched the recorded version, as I was at work when it was on at 10. I suppose I could have fast forwarded.

Susan is having an affair with her handy man, but she still sees Mike because he comes round to visit their son - MJ! So they don't call him Maynard in full anyway!

I know what you mean about having missed a big chunk, but apparently this week's episode explains how they all got there (you can watch in on E4 on Sunday at 10 instead of waiting til next Weds).

i hardly ever see it (but always wish i saw more of it when i do). do you think they will all wake up half way through this series and realise it was all a dream?

I like the five year jump but a lot has to be explained just aswell season 5 episode 5 explains everything that happened in the last five years.
