Is 82. 'Piper Cub' and, if so, how do a singer and a river come into it? Similarly 'stormy petrel' came immediately to mind for 25 but Force 3 on the Beaufort Scale is only a breeze and a petrel doesn't seem to be one of the falcon family. Should I try again; if so being pointed in a particular direction would be appreciated.
Thanks for help.I've been doing the Rainbow quiz for over 10 years now but I'm still surprised how when one finally gets the answer to a question that's stumped one for months, it then seems so blatantly obvious!
Just a nagging doubt re answer to 98 that I've had for a while now as when I was trawling through lists of hints I came across one which suggested it was the name of an opera. My answer is a fighter jet but relates to a musical by A. Lloyd Webber set in Paris. Confirmation (or alternative hint) would be welcome as I'm confident about the other 99.
re 98 I've gone for the same one that you have (I think) don't forget that the Lloyd Weber musical was based on a book writen in 1909 and there have been several films and plays of the same name over the years
