I passed my full UK practical test in Nov 2005. In August 2007 i received 3 points for a SP50 and 3 points for using my mobile phone so accumulated 6 points in one go and as a result my license was revoked in Nov 2007( 3 months from being out of probationary period.)
Its now Oct 2008 and I have my practical test again tomorrow, Im just wondering if i passed..then will my lisence say i have been driving for the full 3 years(since i first passed my test) or will it read as if i have just passed?!?!

The convictions must still be declared if they occured within the time limit asked for by insurers (usually 5 years). They will almost certainly appear on the new licence but if they do not they must still be declared. The slate is not "wiped clean" as you suggest.
They also remain active for "totting" purposes. Six more points for kezman before August 2010 and he/she will be liable to a "totting up" disqualification.

Yes, redcrx, the revocation imposed as a result of gaining six points within two years of passing your first test is undertaken by the DVLA and is totally separate to any other matter.
It is not like receiving a "totting" ban (12 points in three years). In that case the points do revert to zero when the ban is imposed.

I know the points are still there as they are on my new provisional, so if the points are still there with the relevant date then surely that period is still usable as "time spent driving"
For example my NCD of one year is still valid as it has been less than a year since i canx the insurance, I think a quick call to the dvla is in order to resolve. Thanx everyone for their input however.
