All three macho men think they are. 1) the retired Gal Dove who's got it all 2) the mean Don Logan, who think's he's still mean and ornery 3) the arch villan Teddy Bass who has power in the "real world" And this wonderful story is about all three. But one of the three is the most important. The story is about the redemptive quality that one, only one, posesses that allows him to triumph over the other two. So he is the sexiest beast of all. Both in the "mirror mirror on the wall" sense. It becomes his story unquote. And another said it was the punchline of a joke in the opening credits.

The name "Sexy Beast" simply refers, in a jovial manner, to Gal Dove.

 As Don Logan says he used to have a great physique, and could have had his pick of women, making him a sexy beast. Simple.
