Peugeot 406 warning lights

The 'stop' and oil and brake warning lights keep flashing on a friends 406. Brakes renewed, oil ok, power steering fluid ok. No common reason apparent for the illumination. Any ideas?

try disconecting the battery or diconect the fuse box an replug it in that should work if not let me know

Cuting of the batery  dont work !!!

If you find out what is the problem tell me !!!!

Apparently it could be one of two switches, the handbrake switch or the oil pressure switch. The sensors are apparently unable to distinguish between the two so all lights come on.
