repair wood bed slats

i have a 4ft 6 leather monarch bed, i have broken 4 of the wooden slats anyone who has one of these will know that the slats cover half of the bed and has little plastic holders alone each side to hold the slats and also down the middle. Does anyone know where i can get replacement slats for my bed. a few people have told me to by a piece of wood and put that their but i have not paid all this money on a bed to them lay on just a piece of wood i want the slats that are meant to be there
