What is the best stuff to use on plastic bathroom water outlet pipes (that have become a bit discoloured) to make them look good? Don't really want to coat them in gloss paint.
OK..........I should have asked.....is it about 40mm diameter?
Best bet might be to replace it if you're DIY handy.
Failing that, paint them in. It doesn't have to be gloss. Buy a small can of plastic primer from B&Q (International brand - I think).............then emulsion to match the walls.
When they discolour, I can't think of anything to revive them........good luck
Jif cream cleaner (Cif) will probably clean them but mind, it is an abrasive, despite what the advertisers say. Once you have the dull (protective) surface off, the next clean is so much closer.
Have you thought of decorating it with transfers or if your bathroom also has a toilet, hang a permanent marker pen on a string and with a small sign, invite all users to sign the pipe.
Please would you tell me what decorators cleaner is and where can I get it and what can you do with it. Havesome really nasty areas in my house and am at my wits end. Sorry to come across as stupid , but yes I am in this case.
TIA
brenda.....it's to clean walls/wood surfaces of grease & grime b4 painting. In household area of 1 shop.....needs diluting for cleaning floors but used neat on burn-marked cookers.
Excellent....I dont have any other cleaner! Even good for windows/car/carpet stains. Put a mixture into a spray bottle.
