Love thy neighbour was scripted, and it did mean a lot of black kids getting called names partly because of it.
Sachs was minding his own business when he got a series of lewd phone calls about grand daughter, admittedly she's no shrinking violet herself but that's her business as a private individual, they did'nt ask to be involved in their show.
ut to be fair there's as much comedy now that's basically as racist as the 70s, the only difference is that the comics are middle class and went to university so it's now called post ironic humour, post colonic more like.
